Financial Policies

We accept most medical insurance including Medicare, Anthem/Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna and others. We also accept personal checks, Visa, Mastercard, and of course, cash. As a service to our patients we will submit insurance claims on your behalf. Please pay at the time of service unless other arrangements are made. Statements are mailed every month. Scheduling and Canceling Appointments

Our office hours are Monday-Wednesday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 12 Noon.  Please call 207-743-0027 to schedule your appointment in Norway Maine or 207-786-2500 to schedule an appointment in Auburn Maine. An answering service will respond to your calls after hours and page Dr. Whitaker or the Ophthalmologist on call. Please give 24 hours notice if you can’t make it to your appointment.

Hospital Affiliations

Riverside Eye Center and Dr. Whitaker are affiliated with Stephen’s Memorial Hospital. Surgery is usually performed at Stephen’s Memorial. Laser surgery and minor procedures are performed in our office.
